# General Features

## Panels

This application consists of many so-called panels. These panels can be arranged however you like. You can drag panels, move them to another screen, place them side-by-side, resize them, dock them to required containers, pin panels to make them constantly visible or auto-hide, etc.

Design it the way you need it

<div align="left"><img src="/files/-MlFw4YFwrROz0D4dwWk" alt=""></div>

To move them, simply drag the Panel Header and place them where you want. If you place them on top of each other, then tabs will appear. Thanks to this feature, you can also display content on multiple screens.

# Discord Integration

It is possible to have Discord messages received by the BotManager. To do this, you have to create a webhook and provide that url in BotManager.

{% hint style="info" %}
This feature is currently only used by the Automation and Margin Watch Add-Ons. Both Add-Ons can send automatic status notifications. See [here](https://docs.botmanager.io/add-ons/margin-watch#status-notifications) for Margin Watch and [here](https://docs.botmanager.io/add-ons/automation#status-notifications) for Automation.
{% endhint %}

## Step by Step Guide

In this tutorial, you will configure your own Discord server, create a Discord webhook, configure BotManager, and test notifications from your BotManager to your Discord channel.

### Prerequisites

* A Discord account. You can visit the [Discord registration page](https://discordapp.com/register) to sign up for a free Discord account.

### Step 1 - Setting Up Your Discord Webhook <a href="#step-1-setting-up-your-discord-webhook" id="step-1-setting-up-your-discord-webhook"></a>

Once you have opened your Discord account you can create your own private Discord server.

First, [log in to your Discord account](https://discord.com/login) in your browser or [launch your Discord app](https://discord.com/new/download) and click on the **Create a server** button.

![](/files/5g1eD499SBNCb494eaF1)

Then pick a name for your server and click on the **Create a server** button.

Next, you will configure your Discord webhook. The webhooks are unique URLs that you can use to link services together. Discord’s webhooks allow you to automate your messages and send data updates to your Discord text channels.

To create a webhook you have to first click on your channel and then click on the **Edit Channel** button right next to your channel’s name.

![](/files/864iGC7xnh72kMc7puC9)

Then click on the **Webhooks** tab and click the **Create Webhook** button.

![](/files/NfusHerNT7EE07qh5DNw)

After that, pick a name for your webhook. You can simply use *BotManager* for that.

Copy your webhook URL and save it for later. Finally, click the **Save** button.

![](/files/OS70GLjpfWiuuztV2ise)

You now have your Discord account, server, and webhook. You can now move on to BotManager.

### Step 2 - Configure BotManager to use Discord

Click on the Button **Discord & Telegram Intergration**

![](/files/AAbj7ME61SGfktqxIjri)

Paste the webhook URL in the text field and click on **Apply**.

![](/files/oZGspxX8MVDh3PbM4VQY)

BotManager will now send Notifications to this URL and Discord will make sure that you get those messages on your channel.

Click on the **Test** Button to receive a Test Message from BotManager in your Discord channel.

### Step 3 - Turn on Notifications

See [here](https://docs.botmanager.io/add-ons/margin-watch#status-notifications) for Margin Watch and [here](https://docs.botmanager.io/add-ons/automation#status-notifications) for Automation.

###

# Telegram Integration

It is possible to have Telegram messages received by the BotManager. To do this, you have to establish a communication with the BotManager Telegram Bot and tell BotManager your Telegram User ID.

{% hint style="info" %}
{% endhint %}

## Step by Step Guide

### Prerequisites

* Of course a Telegram account :smile:

### Step 1 - Establish communication on Telegram <a href="#step-1-setting-up-your-discord-webhook" id="step-1-setting-up-your-discord-webhook"></a>

You need to first send a message to the BotManager Bot on Telegram before the Bot can send messages to you. Contact the Bot by click this link: <https://t.me/TheRealBotManager_bot> and type "/start"

### Step 2 - Finding out your Telegram Telegram User ID <a href="#step-1-setting-up-your-discord-webhook" id="step-1-setting-up-your-discord-webhook"></a>

Contact the userinfobot at <https://telegram.me/userinfobot> and type "/start"

You should then see your Telegram ID.

![](/files/OJqKS90RjC7649u1NoT1)

### Step 3 - Let BotManager know your Telegram User ID <a href="#step-1-setting-up-your-discord-webhook" id="step-1-setting-up-your-discord-webhook"></a>

Click on the Button **Discord & Telegram Integration**

![](/files/TPYgbS3a9ZtCZarhIygY)

Paste your Telegram User ID in that field and click **Send Test Message** to receive a Test Message from the BotManager Bot on Telegram.

![](/files/mXc0HaSuwwX7qb31IpXx)

Click on **Apply**. The BotManager Bot will now send Notifications to you via Telegram.

### Step 4 - Turn on Notifications

See [here](https://docs.botmanager.io/add-ons/margin-watch#status-notifications) for Margin Watch and [here](https://docs.botmanager.io/add-ons/automation#status-notifications) for Automation.

# Add-Ons

The BotManager with its function described on this website is free for as many accounts/bots/deals as you have.

Nevertheless there is the possibility to load further add-ons. It can be a very special module that has been developed just for you according to your wishes, but there are also paid add-ons like these:

* [Margin Watch](/add-ons/margin-watch)
* [Automations](/add-ons/automation)

# Cloud Hosting

Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to run the add ons as a real service in the cloud. However, you have the option of renting a very cheap VPS and simply running the botmanager there.

For this we recommend the provider Vultr or [Contabo](https://contabo.com/). There is currently a limited time offer to receive $100.

To get this promotion, just use the link: <https://www.vultr.com/?ref=8940820-8H>

# Margin Watch

A BotManager Add-On

## Introduction

The main goal of this Add-On is to minimize the chance of getting liquidated. It is not a 100% guarantee, it can only help you in some situations and you might sleep a little bit better :)

Currently supported Exchanges:

* Binance Futures
* FTX Futures

This Add-On will communicate the important things (cancel safeties, close positions) directly with the exchange API. The 3Commas API is also used to synchronize changes with the corresponding deals, but this is done with a lower priority in the background. In the event of an API failure, there are queues and retry mechanisms in place to make it as reliable as possible.

## Features

### Panel: Margin Watch

* Start Bots if Margin Ratio > X (3C API)
* Whitelist (see below) to start specific Bots only (3C API)
* Stop Bots if Margin Ratio < X (3C API)
* Cancel Safety Orders if Margin Ratio > X (Exchange API first, 3C API with lower priority)
* Close Positions if Margin Ratio > X (Exchange API first, 3C Api with lower priority)
* Simulation mode (highly recommended for testing first!)

![](/files/-Miey7qaNlVbOGPXiFVZ)

#### Whitelist

Here are some examples for the whitelist feature which is used by the option “Start SPECIFIC bots”. There are currently 2 fields to choose from: “Pair” and “Bot Name”. You can combine your expressions using AND / OR or create groups. Several operators are available, see below…

![Whitelist example 1: Start only bots with Pairs: SXP or BTC or ETH](/files/-MieyvAS7gS5jxHtlMbn)

![Whitelist example 2: Start only bots if name does not contain “NOT IN USE”](/files/-Miez-dkKI-zqLyJ6Qas)

![Whitelist example 3: Start bots if Pair is SXP, BTC or ETH AND only if Bot name Begins with “ACTIVE BOT”](/files/-MiezMJ7mMlX4IGAnrHZ)

![There is wide range of different operators](/files/-MiezY2Z4zWBkFiNtNHL)

### Panel: Account Information

There is a new column "Margin Ratio" available, which gives you a simple overview of all your accounts.

![](/files/-MiezeZrBCinDt5QGSan)

### Panel: Current Ratio

Displays ratio of a specific account or automatically of the account with highest ratio

![](/files/-Mif-AG0wKLfxfgE8kf4)

## Status Notifications

You can configure this Add-On in such a way that it sends automatic status messages at a certain interval. This way, you don't have to manually check your BotManager instance to see if the Add-On is up and running.

{% hint style="info" %}
You have to integrate your [Discord](/discord-integration) or [Telegram](/telegram-integration) first.
{% endhint %}

To enable the Notification, click **Notification Settings** in the Margin Watch Menu.

![](/files/zZc8Tb3thX6qvttl8syA)

Turn on the Status Notification and choose a desired interval in which you would like to receive the notification. The minimum value is 1 Minute and max is 1 Day (1440 Minutes).

![](/files/Jwd0kcQD4kduqtMJwOho)

If you click the **Test** Button, you should immediately see the message on your Discord channel:

![](/files/INvC4loUzQiXZW4PHEw4)

## Subaccounts

If you want to use subaccounts on FTX you also need to provide the name you used on the website and tell the bot manager

{% hint style="info" %}
This additional information is not required for Binance subaccounts
{% endhint %}

![](/files/-Mif-eH_oekc6kXBfQil)

![](/files/-Mif-hwTnJ9oZCK1GWw_)

## Prerequisites

* A direct Exchange connection to your Account
  * Binance Futures (read + futures permission needed)
  * FTX (Trading permission)

<div align="left"><img src="/files/-Mif0JxMeg7IMJt_5nCU" alt=""></div>

## How do I get it?

* Click on Add-Ons

<div align="center"><img src="/files/-Mif0_3plyyxrJV9UQil" alt=""></div>

* Click on the Login Button and Sign up

![](/files/-Mif0h8bTBgxtnidTziX)

* Tell me your Email Address on telegram or discord and I will activate the subscription for you to test.

## Something else I should know?

**Yes!** Be careful what you do and **always** check your settings before turning them on.

Also Binance Hedge Mode and Isolated Margin are not supported. Margin Watch will only close cross margin positions, isolated positions will be skipped.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Make sure that the time on your computer is always synchronized with a time server. To achieve this, it is recommended to install an appropriate tool. See [here](/add-ons/margin-watch/synchronize-times).
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
Please note that the margin ratio of Binance and FTX is not 100% the same as the platforms simply calculate differently. The ratio scales from 0-100, but you will most likely need to use different limits. Therefore, it makes little sense to use Binance and FTX at the same time. It is possible, but only with the same limit values.&#x20;

At FTX, due to the 20x leverage limit, you won’t have any free margin available to close positions, around 13x leverage (which is Margin Watch Ratio 40%). BotManager won't be able to help you anymore in this situation.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Trading, and particularly leverage trading, is inherently HIGH RISK and you CAN lose your whole account. If you incur losses, it is YOUR responsibility, the BotManager team will not accept any responsibility or liability for any loss you suffer as a result of using BotManager / Margin Watch. There are configuration settings to limit losses and manage risk and it is your responsibility to use them to align with your trading risk management plan.**
{% endhint %}

## Pricing

40$ / month or 400$ / year

See [here](https://botmanager.io/pricing.html) for pricing and payment details.

# Synchronize Times

Exchange trading APIs rely on accurate timestamps between the end user and the exchange in order to execute trades. If the clocks are not both correct / accurate, the exchange will reject the order and the timestamp error will be displayed.

Install a NTP (Network Time Protocol) app on your VPS / Desktop / Notebook to regularly ensure your time is synchronised: [https://www.timesynctool.com](https://www.timesynctool.com/)

Configure as the below:

<div align="left"><img src="/files/-MirzhQ--0JEOX9JLxLL" alt=""></div>

# Automation

A BotManager Add-On

## Introduction

With this module you have the possibility to bring some automation into the game in a flexible way.

There is the concept of **RuleSets**, which must be understood first. Each RuleSet consists of one or more **Rules** and there are different Types of RuleSets to let them work on Grid Bot, DCA Bot, Deal, Smart Trade or Account Level.

Once you have built your RuleSets, you can assign one or more of these rule sets to each of your accounts and have them checked every few seconds and the desired actions carried out.

It is better illustrated in the following section.

## Concept

The very high overview can be seen as follows:

<div align="left"><img src="/files/2xDkbeQH9zgAOCUOEMOT" alt=""></div>

In this example, there are different RuleSets assigned to different accounts. Note that RuleSets can be reused across different Accounts (RuleSet 1 used by Account A and B here).

### RuleSet and Rules

Okay, what actually is a RuleSet? Let's talk a little about the structure of a RuleSet.

A RuleSet consists of one or more rules and of course you can give it a name and a description. You also need to specify a "[**Type**](#ruleset-types)". This is important to understand and we will talk about it later.

Each rule contains a [**Condition** ](#undefined)and an [**Action**](#actions).&#x20;

There you can see an example of a RuleSet with 3 Rules:

![](/files/6iQB8d13mWDUpPqkb86E)

By default all rules are processed in order and when processing, it is first checked whether the condition applies. And if so, then the action is executed.

Whether the condition was true or not, in both cases it continues with the next rule.

![](/files/KYAM5SEQzqUyJvxmv8R4)

If you want processing to stop after a rule condition was true, you can do that by enabling this option:

![](/files/42i4CUYyBCbmMNF7y7cl)

### RuleSet Type

There are 5 different types of RuleSets: Bot, Grid Bot, Deal, Smart Trade, Account

Depending on which type you have chosen, the condition will be checked for all bots or deals.

For example, if you want to change a specific deal, you need a RuleSet of the "Deal" type.

Each type also offers other actions that make sense for that type. An "Add Funds" action e.g. only makes sense on a deal, but not for a bot.

### Actions

Available Actions for RuleSet Type "Deal":

### Conditions

Each rule can contain as many conditions as you need. You can combine them with AND / OR or group them. You can choose any field of a deal/bot or global available fields like “active deals”, “usdt available”, and many others.

There shouldn't be too much to say here. If the overall expression is true, then the action in this Rule will execute.&#x20;

Below is a list of the available fields from which you can build your expression.

### Available Fields

In addition to all bot and deal properties, there are also some global available fields for each RuleSet Type:

* Available USD
* Available USDT
* Available BUSD
* Available BTC

### Compare value with another field's value

If you wish to compare a value of one field with a value from another one, you can easily achieve this goal by switching between value and field:

![](/files/yKqS32iAhF4URpVqkWaK)

![](/files/C7NVDPC1p0Hw9L0LTahZ)

### Custom Expressions

If this is not enough, you can also assemble your very own condition with the help of the custom expression editor. That way you can calculate whatever you want yourself:

<div align="left"><img src="/files/-Mif651oJ7D_9OJtynxb" alt=""></div>

<div align="left"><img src="/files/-Mif6GxIZ2eeiUNg6FDe" alt=""></div>

## Rules Management

* Create, Delete and Edit RuleSets
* Import and Export RuleSets to a file (this way you can share them with another user)

<div align="left"><img src="/files/-Mif4uDW9_DengA_GSqY" alt=""></div>

Go to [RuleSet Examples](/misc/ruleset-examples-for-automation) if you want to see more examples.

## Automation Panel

That's the place where you assign RuleSets to your account(s) and finally turn it on.

<div align="left"><img src="/files/-Mif6bbddgOGSoKQwebK" alt=""></div>

Brief functional description:\
In this example, 2 accounts were selected. 1 account is linked to 1 rule set. And 2 rule sets are assigned to another account.

The selected accounts are checked one after the other.\
All active deals/bots/accounts (depend on the RuleSet Type) are run through for each account and checked against each rule of the linked rule set. If the condition is true, then the desired action of this rule is processed.\
After everything has been processed, there is a pause of 10 seconds. Then the same thing starts all over again.

{% hint style="info" %}
If the check mark "Simulation only" is set, no changes will be made. Please use this for testing or try new rules on paper trading.
{% endhint %}

## Status Notifications

You can configure this Add-On in such a way that it sends automatic status messages at a certain interval. This way, you don't have to manually check your BotManager instance to see if the Add-On is up and running.

{% hint style="info" %}
You have to integrate your [Discord](/discord-integration) or [Telegram](/telegram-integration) first.
{% endhint %}

To enable the Notification, click **Notification Settings** in the Automation Menu.

BotManager uses MS ClickOnce for Installation and Updates. Program Files of these types of apps are stored in a uniquely named folder in C:\Users\\**YOURUSERNAME**\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\\

The encrypted API Keys are stored in a uniquely named folder in C:\Users\\**YOURUSERNAME**\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\Data\\

Everything else (stored layout, user settings, log files) is stored in C:\Users\\**YOURUSERNAME**\AppData\Roaming\BotManager

## How can I uninstall BotManager?

You can uninstall it like every other Program on your Windows Machine. Navigate to "Add or remove programs", find BotManager and remove it.

There are some additional files that won't get removed. If you want to delete it, simply delete the folder:

C:\Users\\**YOURUSERNAME**\AppData\Roaming\BotManager

## Can I have my own customized BotManager?

In addition to already available add-ons, there is also the option of implementing add-ons specially tailored to your needs for an additional charge. These will only be given to you and only you will be able to use them. If you are interested in that, contact me on [discord](https://discord.gg/Yv6Ev2s5).

## Can I use it on my Mac?

No, this is a Windows Desktop application. However, you can create a virtual machine to use BotManager on the same computer while still using your Mac.

Or simply use a cheap VPS from [Vultr](https://www.vultr.com/?ref=8940820-8H) or [Contabo](https://contabo.com/).

## How is the current margin ratio for FTX calculated?

```
 var maxLeverage = 1 / MaintenanceMarginRequirement
 var leverage = TotalPositionSize / TotalAccountValue
 marginRatio = leverage / maxLeverage * 100
```

## Why is there a connection to Coingecko?

For some functionalities in the program, data is required that we cannot get via the 3commas API. e.g. 24h Trading Volume or MarketCap. These are loaded periodically via Coingecko API.

## What happens to my API Keys?

In order for the BotManager to work, you need to give it at least one API key. Since this application is a desktop application that communicates directly with the 3Commas API without any other server in between, the keys always stay on your computer and are never transferred to another location.

## I see an error when I try to open the BTC Mini Chart? Why is that?

In this case the problem could be the missing WebView2 Runtime on your computer. You can get it [here](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=2124703).

## Can I donate and support this Project?

I develop and maintain this tool on my own for free in my spare time. Donations are greatly appreciated and a motivation to keep improving!

If the BotManager helped you or saved you a lot of time and you want to buy me a coffee - then I won't stop you! 😍

You can do that [here](https://www.buymeacoffee.com/marcdrexler).

#### Time

You can choose between 5 min, 15 min, Hour, Day, Week, Month, Year Performance.

#### Skip

With this option, you can skip the number of coins you want. Default is 0. You can see an example below.

# Add Funds to deals

## Explanation

If actual profit percentage (PnL%) falls below -20%, then a satety order is placed. The order type is market and the volume will be 100% of the current deals volume. If Fear and Greed index is lower than or equals 25, then the volume will be 200%.

Example: If a deal looks like this:

<div align="left"><img src="/files/-Mjnk2tix5hGrCcKh-xr" alt=""></div>

then a safety order with a volume of \~80$ will be placed. (100% of $80.12)

If fear and greed index is low enough, then the volume would be \~160$. (200% of $80.12)

If there are more than 13 active deals in this Account, it will turn off all bots.

If there are less than 10 active deals in this Account, it will turn on bots again.

This can be useful when you are trading with Futures and lets you sleep a little better

# Dynamic SL when in Profit

## Explanation

With this rule, you have the possibility to lock your profits with a stoploss.

In this example, when a deal reaches 2%, a stoploss will be set or replaced with a deviation of 1% to the current PnL.

If the price (PnL) rises, the stoploss will also rise.

# Increase/Decrease MAD by available Balance

## Explanation

If you want to control the number of max active deals based on your available balance, then this is the ruleset for you. In times of a dip, when you have already executed some safety orders and have less funds available, you might want to reduce the number of max active deals so that you are also prepared for the next dip. When the deals have recovered and you have more balance available again, the number of max active deals could be increased again.

# Turn off Bots on Sunday

## Explanation

I'm not sure why you need this. But you can also build rules with custom expressions and refer to times / days. In this example all bots are deactivated on a Sunday.

The custom expression looks like this:

# Turn on/off Bots by active Deals

## Explanation

This RuleSet will turn on bots if active deal count is lower than or equals 10 and will turn bots off if active deal count is greater than 10. This RuleSet is of the "Account" type and is therefore only processed once per interval for each account.

#### Why?&#x20;

You can use such a RuleSet to have more bots enabled and waiting for signals than you actually want. But the number of deals is still limited to a fixed value. This can increase profits.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Depending on the signals selected, it may be possible that the number of active deals can be slightly higher than your limit. E.g. if the automation interval is 10 seconds, but several start signals occur simultaneously within a few seconds.

# Replace pairs from Cryptobubbles.net for multiple single pair Bots

## Explanation

With the help of the offset value, one could e.g. use the top 10 pairs for 10 different bots without using pairs twice

# Change QFL Percentage by available Balance

## Explanation

You can use a custom condition to find out how much percentage of your total Balance is currently available. And depend how much is available, you could update the start conditions.

I am actually not sure if that rule makes sense :smile: but you get the idea of a custom expression.

This one will be true, if there is more than 75% of the total balance available in BUSD.

You could then have different levels/percentages to switch between conservative or more aggressive start signals.
